Planned Parenthood to resume abortions in Wisconsin for first time since 2022

September 14 (Reuters) - Planned Parenthood will resume abortion care at two facilities in Wisconsin for the first time in more than a year, it said on Thursday following a county court ruling that an 1849 state law did not apply to most consensual abortions.

Legal abortion care largely ended in Wisconsin as a result of the 19th-century law after the U.S. Supreme Court in June 2022 reversed the landmark Roe v. Wade ruling that granted a nationwide right to abortion, subsequently giving individual states the authority to ban abortion.

A judge in Wisconsin's Dane County Circuit Court ruled in July that the 1849 law prohibited the killing of fetuses but said "nothing about abortion," and therefore did not bar doctors from performing consensual medical abortions before the fetus was viable.

In the wake of that ruling, abortion care will again be available starting on Monday at Planned Parenthood centers in Milwaukee and Madison, according to Tanya Atkinson, the president of Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin.

"Abortion is healthcare. The people of Wisconsin have been without this essential and necessary care for over a year," said Atkinson in a video statement. She added that the abortion provider was "confident" in its decision to resume service in the state.

Planned Parenthood, the state's biggest abortion provider, is the first to make the announcement.

Abortion has become one of the hottest political issues in Wisconsin, which will be a key swing state in the 2024 U.S. presidential election. The state is one of 15 in the United States where abortion services ceased or were severely restricted after the overturn of Roe v. Wade.

As we read in the preceding excerpt from the news, Miss Tanya Atkinson, president of Planned Parenthood in Wisconsin, said: "Abortion is healthcare. The people of Wisconsin have been without this essential and necessary care for over a year..." No, abortion is not healthcare! It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that there is no healthcare for the baby in its mother's womb. The truth is that over 99% of abortions strip away the life of a perfectly healthy baby, with no existing threat of life to the pregnant mother. So, how is having an abortion equate to healthcare? It doesn't and only a dishonest person would say otherwise.

One pro-choice woman was holding a picket sign which read: "It's Not Your Body, It's Not Your Choice." I couldn't agree more, the child's body is not the mother's body, so she has no right whatsoever to kill the child.

A Texas mother was sentenced to life in prison on Friday after pleading guilty to the starvation murder of her 1-year-old daughter, who died weighing less than she did at birth.

Sage Angel Rose Wright, now 24, pleaded guilty in the Wichita Falls case just two weeks after her husband Christian Miguel Bishop-Torrence, 26, was sentenced to life in prison over the death of 1-year-old Georgia Bishop-Torrence. Though the parents noticed their baby had been losing weight for months, they let Georgia starve to death in 2021, prosecutors with the Wichita County District Attorney’s Office said. As in the case against Bishop-Torrence, the life sentence means there will be no capital murder trial and, therefore, there is no longer any chance Wright will be put to death by the state. How is it that a mother can be sentenced to life in prison for cruelly murdering her own 1-year old child by starvation, but a different mother can murder her child in her womb by abortion our U.S. courts and society accept that as “healthcare”?

Before I go any further, let me humbly say that I do not condemn any woman who has chose to have an abortion. If the shoe fits, you must wear it. Women who seek abortions need to know killing a child is a sin against God, the Creator of every human being (Psalms 51:4; Acts 17:25). You need to know that abortion in God's sight is first degree premediated murder (abortions are scheduled). There is no way to twist and wrestle the inspired Holy Bible to justify intentionally taking the precious life of a child.

I went and searched online for a few dozen of the most popular pro-choice slogans that we see on picket signs in public. To clarify, these are ungodly messages that try to justify the woeful sin of murdering a child. Let's examine these popular slogans as we shine the light of the inspired Holy Bible upon them, shall we:

Pro-choice lie:

This is simply because the men of which the proponents of abortion speak are preachers and Christian men.

Whether something is “fun” or not has absolutely nothing to do with the FACT that every human being has a right to live. Aborted babies never had a choice at all.

The Bible teaches that it is okay for humans to kill animals for food and clothing (Acts 10:13). However, it is not biblically okay to murder a human being (Exodus 20:13). God made mankind in His very own image; animals are not made in God's image.

It doesn't matter what the woman wants when it involves the health and life of a child in her womb. Pro-choice advocates totally disregard the life of the child. Pro-choice advocates present all manner of dire hypothetical circumstances in a wicked attempt to justify taking the innocent life of a child in the womb. But what arguments are ever presented on behalf of the baby in the womb? I learned long ago that anything can be justified. 

In Genesis 3:15, Eve was able to justify in her own mind eating of the forbidden fruit. In Genesis 2:16-17 God expressly forbade eating of the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge in the midst of the garden. But God did give them permission to eat of all the other trees in the garden. But notice how sneaky the serpent (Satan) is. Genesis 3:1, “Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made.  And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” Did you catch that? The serpent told Eve that God said they COULDN'T eat of any of the trees, but that is not what God said. The Lord said they COULD eat of all the trees, except one. The important lesson to learn here is that the Devil always lies.

What gives a mother the right to speak for her unborn child, to deny that child the opportunity to grow up and enjoy ice-cream, pizza, courtship, marriage, hobbies, parenthood and being a grandparent? Life has so many beautiful gifts from God to enjoy. What right does anyone have to make the decision to kill and deprive a child in the womb of his or her right to life? No one has that right!

She is living in denial. When she is an elderly woman, she will rue the day she killed her child. Many elderly woman, like Sharon Osbourne (Ozzy's wife), deeply regret having had an abortion. I admire Sharon for publicly admitting that aborting her son when she was age 17 was the worst decision of her life. Her mother threatened to kick her out into the street, if she didn't have the abortion, so she did. Many elderly women are bitter and lonely, having no grandchildren or children, because Planned Parenthood talked them into foolishly having their own precious child slaughtered in the womb. Planned Parenthood is nothing less than a modern-day Auschwitz camp for slaughtering human life. Adolf Hitler's (1889-1945) a Final Solution to the Jewish Question which was to kill all the Jews! It is sad that like Hitler and his henchmen, Planned Parenthood's Final Solution is to kill all the babies! Does one child ever escape the gas chamber at Planned Parenthood?

Walt Disney and other large entertainment corporations are much to blame, because they promote "scoring" (fornicating) to teenagers. The entire music video industry is sexually perverse. I wish our government would prosecute Hollywood and others in the entertainment industry who promote premarital sex to youth. That is why we have an abortion problem in the United States! Ungodly public schools even pass out condoms to kids, which don't always work, but they do encourage youth to fornicate. We live in a wicked generation that doesn't fear God anymore.

I agree with that. We speak about the sacredness of life in the womb as Christians and conservatives, while recklessly starting illegal wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, murdering millions of innocent people. What the state of Florida did to Terri Schiavo in 2005 was nothing short of brutal cruel torture. The state ordered Terri's feeding and water tubes removed, and they watched her starve and dehydrate to death. Her only crime was not being able to take care of herself. Life means nothing anymore in America.

Size it up as you may, when life is over and all is said and done, every one who has had an abortion, or helped to encourage, support or perform an abortion, will be judged by God (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14; Hebrews 4:13).

Say what? That is just crazy talk. If every woman who's had an abortion didn't show up at work tomorrow, our culture would do just fine and not miss them. People say the darndest things.

If you'll notice, all of the preceding pro-choice slogans totally ignored the inspired Word of God. Abortion is the ultimate act of SELFISHNESS!!! Abortion stops a beating heart. Abortion biblically is cold-blooded first-degree murder (Exodus 20:13). Abortion is not self-defense.

You'll hear wicked proponents of abortion presenting all type of bizarre hypothetical scenarios. Less than .001% of pregnancies are the result of being sexually assaulted (i.e., only one out of one thousand women).

Oprah Winfrey hosted a show years ago about 'Rent-A-Womb' mothers in India. This practice still goes on today. Barren childless American couples across the United States pay between $15,000 to $40,000 to a middleman company, of which roughly $3,000 to $6,000 goes to the actual mother who carried the artificially inseminated sperm to term. Most of those mothers in India have to pay for their own vitamins, doctor's visits and prenatal care. That is so unfair, wrong and unethical. ALL of the money should go directly to the mother, not the middleman company or agent.

Anyway, in closing let me say to you dear mother, if you have made the ungodly choice to allow a Hitlerian type doctor to butcher your precious child in your womb, that God still loves you! Oh yes He does, I know. Yes I know, because God lives in my spirit, soul and body in the form of the blessed Holy Spirit. Every saint of God has the indwelling Holy Spirit (1st Corinthians 3:16-17; 1st John 3:24). If you do not have the Holy Spirit living inside of you friend, then you are not saved (Romans 8:9).

Abortion is no different than any other sin, just like stealing, adultery or homosexuality. All sins may be forgiven, except one, the Unpardonable Sin. What is this sin you ask? It is rejecting the Holy Spirit's conviction that you need to be born-again. The Unpardonable Sin is not getting saved. You see, if you don't receive Jesus' sacrifice on the cross as payment for your sins, then you yourself must pay for them forever in Hell (Revelation 20:15). The wages of sin is DEATH (Romans 6:23). That includes the Second Death (Revelation 21:8). But praise be to God, Jesus paid your debt of sin friend. The price has already been paid, and that price is the precious BLOOD of Jesus (1st Peter 1:18-19). All that God asks for you to go to Heaven, is that you simply BELIEVE THAT JESUS DID IT ALL FOR YOU!!!
