Our Corrupt American Society

Proverbs 19:22, “The desire of a man is his kindness: and a poor man is better than a liar.

I am so sick and tired of seeing fraudulent commercials in American society. Social media, the internet and television are filled with lies! I was watching an excellent sermon today on Rumble titled: 'How Christians Should Respond To Civil Unrest,' and a commercial appeared which guarantees hair regrowth in just 90 days.

Spartan Root Activator Shampoo claims to promote hair growth, but while some ingredients have limited research supporting their effectiveness, there are no comprehensive clinical studies proving the shampoo's overall efficacy. Additionally, concerns have been raised about some inactive ingredients that may be harmful, leading some experts to recommend caution. SOURCE
It angers me that such blatant fraudulent advertising is allowed to continue by the government, specially the department of Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Proverbs 19:22, “The desire of a man is his kindness: and a poor man is better than a liar. We live in a culture of bold ungodly LIARS!

The Liars At 'Duck Duck Go' and Country Instruments

I typed “professional banjos” into an internet search engine. A professional banjo will cost you more than $5,000. The search engine returned dozens of websites recommending cheap banjos from China and similar low cost garbage. Take this website for example from Country Instruments, in which they recommend the Pyle banjo from Amazon for $189. This is junk! This is NOT a professional banjo, which is what I searched for. This is corruption!

It gets worse. The old adage is very true: Follow the money if you want to find the truth. At the bottom of the webpage on Country Instruments crappy recommendations, they post this disclaimer...
CountryInstruments.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. This means that some of our posts contain affiliate links and we may receive a commission if you click through and make a purchase. [emphasis added] SOURCE
So, every time an unsuspecting victim (the person who wanted a “professional banjo) clicks on one of their links to Amazon, the dishonest scumbags at Country Instruments (and other unethical companies and individuals) get paid money. This is wickedness! It is fraud because I asked for a professional banjo, not bottom basement dwelling garbage from China. I HATE OUR CORRUPT AMERICAN CULTURE!!!

It is tragic when you as a consumer cannot sincerely search the internet for honest information. Instead, wicked people deliberately LIE to you in their ungodly greed for money. This unethical, dishonest and injurious sinful practice has gone unchecked for so long that it has become commonplace and accepted as the norm in American society. IT IS EVIL!

The Speculative Meaning Of Proverbs 19:22

What does our text Scripture passage mean? We know what “a poor man is better than a liar means. That maxim is obvious, but the first part of the verse is obscure. I looked at BibleHub.com and was disgusted to see a dozen different meanings in a dozen different Bible revisions (talk about corruption in American society). Take a look at the many different conflicting meanings set forth in 18 different English Bible revisions...

New International Version
What a person desires is unfailing love; better to be poor than a liar.

NET Bible
What is desirable for a person is to show loyal love, and a poor person is better than a liar.

Good night in the morning! Well, which is it, loyalty, fidelity, desiring to be kind, a disgrace to be greedy, unfailing love, steadfast love, loving devotion, attractiveness or showing loyal love? THIS IS CORRUPTION! 2nd Corinthians 2:17, “For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.” The truth is that ungodly sinners CHANGED God's inspired Word to obtain a legal copyright so they could sell and profit from their perverse work (Romans 1:25). Woe unto anyone who tampers with the inspired Holy Bible (Proverbs 30:5-6).

So, What Does Proverbs 19:22 Mean?

l consulted Pastor Brad Strand's 'The Strand Study Bible,' but he doesn't comment on this passage. Neither does Dr. Henry Morris comment on this passage in his 'The Henry Morris Study Bible.' I listened to Pastor Jack Hyles' part 16 in his Proverbs Wednesday evening Bible study, but he jumps from verse 20 to verse 26 in Proverbs chapter 19. I did find some helpful commentaries on Bible Hub (I highly recommend this website for your Bible study).

Proverbs 19:22, “The desire of a man is his kindness: and a poor man is better than a liar. To be quite honest, I do not know what Solomon meant here, this is a deep saying. It could mean as some have suggested, that a poor man wants to give but he cannot because he is poor; but a rich man who could give doesn't because he lies about how much wealth he has. That is an interesting interpretation.

I simply chose this passage as my text because of the latter part of the verse, “a poor man is better than a liar. I detest all these deceptive websites today who admittedly lie (as stated in their disclaimer) to trick people in an effort just to make money. Such unscrupulous practices should be illegal. It is better to be a poor person who wishes to do good, than a dishonest wealthy person who lies about one's intentions. This highlights the value of fearing God over mere financial gain. These shady advertisers do not fear God. Psalms 36:1, “The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.

The same holds true for the vast thousands of useless health products (powders, pills and other gimmicks) which are peddled on the market. Scam companies intentionally sell you garbage that they fully know doesn't work, but they skirt legal liability by including the disclaimer on every product they sell that reads: “This product has not been tested, evaluated or approved by the FDA.” Again, such unscrupulous practices should be outlawed. They are shady dishonest sinners who bring the judgment of God upon themselves!

Someone has suggested that Proverbs 19:22 means a person's true kindness is measured by one's desire to help others, and it is better to be a poor person than a shifty greedy person who lies to increase wealth. This highlights the value of fearing God over mere financial gain.

In his helpful Bible commentary titled: 'The Complete Bible Commentary, Pastor George Williams says, “A little kindness received from a poor man is better than the false promises of a rich liar.” I like that interpretation.

I thought of another Scripture passage by Solomon's father, David, which might also shed some light on Proverbs 19:22. Psalms 37:21, “The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.” When I think of Solomon's statement that a poor man is better than a liar, I think of what David said that a wicked man borrows and does not paying it back. He is a liar! But a righteous man labors at his work, so that he can take his hard-earned wages and in kindness give to the needy.

1,200 Buried Bones Discovered Beneath Benjamin Franklin's Home

Hebrews 9:27-28, “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”

I found this disturbing article in Discover Magazine from March of 2023...

The 1,200 Buried Bones in the Benjamin Franklin House

A gruesome discovery in the Benjamin Franklin House has us wondering if Ben Franklin was a serial killer. Get the scientific context behind the findings.

For more than two centuries, hundreds of human bones have rested (in peace) under the London home of Benjamin Franklin — one of the founding fathers of the U.S. But the secret of these bones isn’t quite as horrific as you might suspect.

As it turns out, the son-in-law of Franklin’s landlady taught anatomy privately in the house, at a time when the new field of science was just taking off in England. But that doesn’t mean the bones were completely innocent: The practice of dissection wasn’t strictly legal back then.

Grim Discovery of the Ben Franklin Bodies

The bones were first discovered in the late 1990s, while the Craven Street home underwent conservation repairs. The museum staff called a coroner, says Marcia Balisciano, the director of the Benjamin Franklin House, a museum at the former residence of Franklin in the heart of London, but the latter quickly the determined the bones were more than a century old.

It wasn’t entirely surprising. “If you keep digging down in London, you can find anything — Roman remains, Viking remains or anything,” she says.

Researchers then excavated a small pit in what is now called the seminary room; back in Franklin’s day, however, it was simply a small space at the back of the house. The pit, one meter wide and one meter deep, revealed more than 1,200 bone fragments belonging to at least 15 individuals. READ MORE

Do Not Trust Shady Companies: 'Yelp' And 'Trustpilot'

I am sick and tired of these shady websites and companies like Trustpilot and Yelp, who censure user content. You're not allowed to tell the truth about a company. Only upbeat kiss-ass reviews are permitted. I wish I could put these unethical companies out of business permanently!

I hate Trustpilot, Yelp and other shady websites that censor user content.

The Dark Side of Trustpilot - Can It Really Be Trusted?

Hell no, you cannot trust Trustpilot. On the 'Choice Community' website, they expose the corruptness of Trustpilot's bogus and unfair review process. ...
On Trustpilot, If you go through Youi insurance you will see thousands of reviews. That on the surface gives it a great trust pilot rating. But if you look most are single person reviewers giving a 5* rating for the amazing experience they had. That drown out lots of single star reviews complaining about the poor level of service when they try to make a claim.

Only a fool would trust Trustpilot or Yelp for accurate reviews.

The following negative review I posted of Smyrna Baptist Church in Pensacola was buried by Yelp in September of 2024. Unless you go diligently searching for my review, you won't see it. And worse, Yelp refused to include my review in its ratings. If they were honest, Smyrna Baptist Church's rating should have dropped a star, but Yelp are dishonest people. Ironically, if you go to Yelp and search for 'Smyrna Baptist Church in Pensacola,' you'll see my photo (of me holding a Deering Golden Wreath banjo). Yelp is using my photo, but refuses to post my review with the other posts, because they didn't like what I wrote. Read my post for yourself...
I DO NOT recommend this church. The Pastor woefully lacks personal concern and compassion for people. I attended the church for several months but the senior pastor never welcomed me. When I shared my broken life with him, he never offered to pray with me. He didn't care. The senior pastor has denim without lace, strength without beauty, toughness without love.

I believe the church is always 85% empty because of their bad attitudes and the horrible way that they mistreat people. When I kindly asked for some water to drink at their Memorial Day movie, the pastor's wife rudely asked me why didn't I get something to drink outside at their earlier picnic. I almost walked out the door. It matters how you treat people.

I am so hurt, disgusted and disappointed with their senior pastor. I DO NOT recommend this horrible place to anybody, unless you want to play church three times a week, and be part of a superficial cult that preaches Lordship Salvation. The church uses Chick Tracts which pervert the true meaning of repentance, requiring you to be willing to forsake sinful bad habits to go to Heaven. That is not a free grace Gospel.

People just want to be loved. The way that you treat people matters, it really does. Positions are temporary, ranks and titles are limited, but the way you treat people will always be remembered.

Also, the Smyrna church auditorium literally smells like a cheap musty hotel. It was offensive to my nose. I don't know if it is the carpeting or what, but it smells bad. My nose did adjust to it some over time, but the smell didn't go away. First impressions are lasting impressions.

RUN from Smyrna Baptist Church!
Thank you for reading.
Dear reader, there is absolutely nothing wrong with my negative review of that crappy church cult. Yelp are in cahoots with bad businesses and bad churches, protecting them instead of posting honest reviews! Why the hell is my banjo photo still there on Yelp, since they refuse to allow my post? Unreal. These ungodly people are incompetent! They're like irresponsible children at Yelp and Trustpilot.

Today, December 23, 2025, I tried to post my honest review of Cox, but Trustpilot rejected my post because the content offended them. I didn't think to save the post, but it essentially said that I am offended COX is airing 100% Spanish commercials in the United States where we officially speak English! Trustpilot emailed me to say that they couldn't post my review because it violated their sensitivity policy to minority groups. WTF?

According to DuckDuckGo's Search Assistant when I searched for “COX reviews,” it reads:
Cox Communications has received numerous negative reviews from customers, often citing poor customer service, unexpected charges, and billing issues. Many users express frustration with the company's service reliability and communication.
That's all besides the point, this blog is about Yelp and Trustpilot, which I DO NOT recommend to anyone!!! I hate these shady, unethical and dishonest companies who censor the truth about bad companies and churches. I am greatly offended as a natural-born American consumer that COX airs their damn commercials in 100% Spanish, so that as an American I cannot understand a word of it. That really offends me and I have every right to be upset with COX and YouTube for permitting it! Truly, the LOVE OF MONEY is the root of all evil as the inspired Holy Bible warns in 1st Timothy 6:10-11. SHAME on Trustpilot for rejecting my honest post about COX as a consumer. I am now giving Trustpilot a bunch of negative reviews as well!
